New Shoes

Deacon got his first pair of kicks today!!! I don't think Deacon is a fan, but his awkwardness has been great entertainment for Carter and I so far.

Tempe Splash Park

Took the boys to Tempe Beach Park today for some fun at their splash park. It seemed like the perfect day to go...not too crowded and not super hot (only 95 with clouds) and the boys had a good time. And as always a day around water is not complete until Deacon makes several attempts at drinking it!

Carter's Room---FINISHED

Ignore the ladder and the unmade bed and focus only on the wall. We finally finished painting Carter's room. This was our first attempt at stripes and I thought it turn out pretty well. Now, what are we going to do in Deacon's room?........

Deacon's New Ride

The Brown's gave Deacon his very own car (Brent was a little upset about it being a police car) and so far it has been a huge hit. Carter loves it (of course), but I think Deacon loves it just as much. Right now, Deacon's favorite part about the car is the door. He loves to open and close, open and close...over and over again!!! Great idea guys, thanks!

4th of July Weekend

We spent Friday and Saturday painting Carter's room and Sunday and Monday at the JW Marriott Resort at Desert Ridge. We spent all day Sunday and Monday at the pool and enjoyed the fireworks display on Sunday night. This was our first "Staycation" experience and it was a blast. The resorts was a lot of fun, great for families and only about 5 miles from our house.

Carter's room is still not completed, but we will have it done by this weekend. I will post pictures of the final product.
