Bandelier National Monument
While we were in Santa Fe, we went to Bandelier National Monument and explored ruins of the Puebloan Native Americans. These ruins and cave dwellings have been around for approx. 450 years...I think! It was a very cool experience. The first picture posted is of us inside one of the caves that was used primarily for weaving.
Santa Fe
We went to Santa Fe for Memorial Day Weekend and did lots of walking and exploring. Here are some pictures of the Plaza in Santa Fe. It is a very old town (the oldest Capital City in the US) with tons and tons of art. There is also an Veterans National Memorial in Santa Fe which I thought was very cool, especially because I have never been to Washington DC and seen something like that.

Supervisor Carter
Brent and I were putting together Carter's new Dresser yesterday when Carter woke up about an hour into the project. He immediately picked up the instructions and started to tell Brent how to put it together and what he was doing wrong. It was very, very funny!
I don't think we could have done it without him!

What's a Princess?
On Saturday morning, cousin Riley asked Carter if he wanted to watch a Princess movie and his reply was "What is a princess?" Well, they watched the movie and Carter now knows what a princess is....it is his mother. Later that day when I was getting dressed for Bailey's Baptism, he came up to me in the bathroom and said "Mama, you look like a Princess"...ah it was the sweetest thing ever and he continued to say it several times throughout the day.
Great Great Grandma Carla
My Great Grandma Carla turns 100 on June 25th and since I will be giving birth that day, I won't be able to attend. So I wanted to make sure that we saw her while we were in Utah. She was in the hospital with a broken shoulder, but doing well and looking great. I have no doubt that she will be up and ready to party by the time of her big day.
Carter was a little weary of her at first, but thanks to some candy and some horsing around with Grandpa, he was willing to have a photo op and even gave her a high five when we left.
The first picture is my Grandma Christensen and Carter. He was a little grumpy when we were taking pictures, so instead of giving hugs this is what she got.
Carter and the Cousins
This last weekend, Carter and I went to Utah for cousin Bailey's baptism. It was a weekend full of lots of playing and very litlle sleeping. We stayed with Brandon and his family for four nights, so Carter loved playing with Luke and the boys and hasn't stopped talking about them since we got home. It was a lot of fun and made me realize that we really don't do it enough.
